Anika noni rose is an American performer as well as a singer. The most famous role she has played is Tiana The first Disney African American Princess. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in 2011. Rose was the Oscar-winning actress who played Lorrell In Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born September 6 1972) is an American actress and singer. Her most well-known role was her character Tiana, the Disney Princess. She is the first African American princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends named her one of them in 2011. The most famous of her roles is the role of Lorrell Robinson in the Oscar Award-winning film Dreamgirls (2005) and her performance as LaVerne Jinglebox Ganner in the Starz show Power. Apart from her acting skills, she's known for the roles she performed in theater.
